12. Resume of Mission: Reconnaissance showed 44.2% of the Target had been destroyed.  All bombing was by radar because the Target was not visible.  Three A/C were non-effective.  Flak was heavy, meager to moderate and inaccurate.  Two A/C were damaged by AA.  Four E/A sighted made no attacks.  Fifteen B-29s landed at Iwo Jima.  Average bomb load: 15,499 lbs. Average fuel reserve: 525 gallons.
