Resume of Mission:  Good to excellent results reported by crews.  The Target was visible to 86 crews and not visible to 27.  7 A/C were non-effective.  The B-29 lost ran off the runway and burst into flames.  Entire crew safe.  10 E/A sighted made 1 attack.  Flak was heavy, meager to moderate, inaccurate and medium: AW fire was meager and inaccurate.  15-20 SL’s were observed, and not effected by radar jamming or ‘rope.’  A/A damaged 6 B-29’s.  13 A/C landed at Iwo Jima.  Average Bomb Load:  14,372 lbs.  Average Fuel Reserve:  673 gallons.
